What to bring: Gardening gloves. If you can we also need rakes, brooms and shovels

Background information: Mr. Ed Johnson (brother of Fr Mike) has a client with an incredibly urgent need that he is trying to help. She is an elderly lady who has just had both legs amputated and is anguished about having to live out her remaining days in a subsistence nursing home. If we can make some improvements on her house she will be able to move back there, which is her fervent desire. We will be working with Charitable Constructors who will be making repairs to the home to enable the homeowner to get her wheelchair inside the home..
This is outside the Charitable Constructors normal parameters. She is not a parishioner of St. Henry, or a Catholic – The home is in the Trinity Ln. area – She cannot pay for any part of the repairs.
But, let me assure you that it is unlikely that any of us will ever be as destitute as she. Our program was instituted to be of service to the folks that need it most and have the least amount of means. Her case is the epitome of those needs and I’m asking for your help to come to the aid of one of God’s desperate children.
